Principal
Alan Alpass is the Principal of Alpass & Associates, bringing over 50 years of legal expertise to the firm. Admitted to practice in 1975, Alan established his legal practice in the same year, initially focusing on personal injury and criminal law before expanding into family law, estate disputes, and commercial law.
Throughout his distinguished career, Alan has developed extensive experience across multiple areas of law, including estate litigation, commercial disputes, business sales and acquisitions, general litigation, family law, employment law, Wills and Powers of Attorney and conveyancing/property law. His depth of knowledge has made him a trusted advisor to numerous clients, often serving as an executor for deceased estates and Attorney under power.
Alan has also been called upon to represent not-for-profit organizations, including several retirement villages and RSL Sub-Branches across Victoria. His expertise extends beyond private practice—over the past 15 years, he has been a member of a select panel of experienced lawyers appointed by the Victorian Legal Services Board + Commissioner to oversee external interventions into law firms requiring supervision, audit compliance, management, or receivership. This appointment reflects his high level of legal acumen and professional integrity.
