Laurence Cavill

Laurence Cavill has been a Solicitor since 1984 and has practiced with us at Alpass & Associates since 2004.

Laurie has practiced in family law in the Eastern Suburbs for over 25 years and has extensive experience in matters such as Intervention Orders, child disputes, property disputes, maintenance matters and Child Support.

Laurie has handled many cases before the Family Court including parental alienation (that is where one parent so disrupts the other parent’s relationship with their own child that the Court needs to intervene).  He has also acted in numerous matters involving Intervention Orders, Orders locking people out of their own homes and subsequent Family Court Orders to remedy those issues.

Laurie adopts a practical consultative approach to resolving disputes so that expense and anxiety is minimised where possible.  He is focused on the needs of his clients during these often stressful and difficult times.

Laurie is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. He has written articles on family law issues for publication in various journals and frequently appears as an advocate in the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court.
