Zoe is an experienced corporate/commercial lawyer who provides advice to clients on a range of commercial matters including, commercial leasing and licensing, procurement contracts for goods/services agreements and supply contracts.  She also assists clients in relation to VCAT and VOCAT matters, sale of business transactions, employment law and providing advice on guarantees and indemnities.

Throughout her career, Zoe has reviewed, drafted and negotiated a wide range of commercial contracts including AS and ABIC construction contracts, supply of goods/services agreements and commercial leases and licences (including licences for events).  She is experienced in providing clients with bespoke contracts to suit the needs of the client and their business.  Some of Zoe’s contract experience includes:

  • infrastructure projects (e.g., airport runway overlays, dam/water reservoir construction projects, road construction projects);
  • building projects (e.g., contracts for constructing office fit-outs);
  • procurement projects (e.g., minor works contracts, subcontracts, supply of equipment/services contracts); and
  • commercial property (e.g., leases, retail lease and events/festival licences).

Despite having worked on many large-scale transactions for commercial clients and government-owned corporations, Zoe is also experienced in helping small businesses and individuals with their legal matters including assisting with drafting terms and conditions that suit their specific needs to minimise their risk and liability, advice regarding smaller-scale construction projects and other small business transactions.  She also assists individual clients regarding VCAT and VOCAT matters, employment matters and advice on guarantees and indemnities.   Zoe is passionate about serving her clients knowledgeably and compassionately, and doing all that she can to get the best outcome for them.

Qualifications

Zoe graduated from Bond University with a Batchelor of Laws (LLB) in 2008.  In 2009, she undertook at graduate position in a mid-tier commercial law firm, whilst completing her Diploma of Legal Practice through the College of Law.  Zoe was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2009 and has experience working in Queensland, Tasmania and Victoria.  She is currently a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
